ViaWest — Data Center Grand Opening — Event Photography

ViaWest, Inc. held an Open House on May 12, 2011 presenting their newest addition to the Hillsboro location which added over 11,000 square feet of state of the art raised floor. Among the speakers at this event was Hillsboro’s Mayor Jerry Willey who thanked ViaWest along with leaders of the business community present for investing in the Hillsboro community and for the jobs these investments generate. This grand event was planned and implemented by Laura Day of The Event Builders and photography services were provided by J Jacobson Photography. Here are a few photos from the day long event.

ViaWest New Years Event – Rose Garden Arena

ViaWest brought J Jacobson Photography to the New Years Event they held for quests and customers hosted at the Rose Garden Arena at the end of December 2010. We captured candid images for them while the Portland Trail Blazers battled the Utah Jazz ending in victor for the Blazers in a 100 to 89 win. While the evening had it’s share of business conversations there was plenty of laughter as very one mingled not to mentions the cheers as the Trail Blazers led most of the game. Thank you ViaWest and all those in attendance for a great evening.

Going through some images this evening came across this photo I shot at a talent audition for something called “The Late Night Show” in Portland Oregon. Did few adjustments in Photoshop, used Nik Software’s Color Efex Pro and OnOne Software’s PhotoFrame for some fun effects.

A Swank Affair: Lights, Camera, Action

We shot the Washington County Museum 20th annual gala this year on Saturday Evening October 17, 2009. What a great time with lots of excitement, great food, auction action and music. The Hollywood-themed event “Swank Affair: Lights, Camera, Action” was MC’ed by none other than OSU’s Head Basketball Coach (and a great player in his own right) Craig Robinson. Local band Stolen Sweets really jazzed it up with their lively brand of 1930s swing. And a wonderful salmon gourmet dinner was provided by Portland’s A Vibrant Table. Here are a few photos from the fun filled evening.

Bat Mitzvah Photo Shoot

We photographed Dina in advance of her Bat Mitzvah. Dina and her mom came to our studio on Saturday the 10th to make photos for use at her Bat Mitzvah which we will be covering for them. Dina was great in front of the camera and we were easily able to capture the looks she wanted. Here is one of many fun photos we make that day.
