July 14th through the 17th we had a visit from some of my wife Rene’s family including her grandmother, mom and oldest sister from Hawaii and her sister and their oldest from Issaquah. We had a great time visiting some prime Portland locations; this shot was taken at the Rose Garden in Washington Park.
On Thursday the 8th of July did a commercial photo shoot for LooptWorks on the Oregon coast; we shot on the Cape Lookout Trail. We photographed models wearing the 2011 LooptWorks clothing line. The images from the shoot are of the 2011 line so for now they are hiding in the fog behind the trees for now. Here are a couple location shots from the day though that is all we are showing for now.
On Monday June 14th our daughter Jenica graduated from The University of Oregon, “Congratulations,” with a BS in Journalism. We were there to watch and take a few photographs of her during and after her graduation ceremony. Post processing was done with Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. Here is a shot from grad day.
On Monday the 24th of May Media Maison did a commercial photo shoot for LooptWorks downtown Portland. We were brought in to photograph models wearing the LooptWorks clothing line; the images will be used to update the LooptWorks web site and for retail use. Media Maison is a Portland, Oregon based boutique Public Relations and Marketing firm and LooptWorks is a Portland, Oregon based company that looks for material thrown out as excess and figures out how to use it to make innovative products they work to break the cycle of waste. Once we have approval for release we’ll post an image or two from the shoot.
I was down in Eugene, Oregon on Monday and did some formal portrait photographs for a young man attending the University of Oregon. The session was done on location, he was fun to work with and his photos came out great. Here is one of our favorites from his shoot.
On Saturday March 20th we photographed Katherine and Jeremy at Waterfront Park downtown Portland. We took advantage of the cherry blossoms, the Steel Bridge and the park to make some beautiful images that afternoon. Post processing done with Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop and I added the frames with OnOne Software’s Photoframe 4.5. Here are a couple shots from the session.
On Saturday March 6th we did an engagement photo session for Ashley and Michael at Summer Lake Park in Tigard. We had fun even had a few laughs and made some beautiful images as we walked around the park late that afternoon. Post processing done with Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop and I added the frames with OnOne Software’s Photoframe 4.5. Here are a couple shots from the session.
Took a break this afternoon and went out for a ride on my motorcycle. As I was riding past Bald Peak State Park (1,629′ elev.) a beautiful view of Mount Hood caught my eye. I pulled into the park, stopped and removed an old Nikon D70s w/18-200mm, that goes with me on rides, from one of my saddle bags. I shot a few frames with a panoramic image in mind. When I back home I use Photoshop CS4 to stitch this pano together and exported through Zoomify.
Images captured data: 150mm, 1/320sec, F/11, iso 200
I got the opportunity to shoot a few images of the Women’s Club Sport Volleyball Tournament last weekend at The Courts in Beaverton, Oregon. I used my Nikon D300, Tamron 70-200mm f2.8 lens and Sandisk digital film. Post processing was done with Lightroom 2, Photoshop CS4 and Nik Software plug-ins. Images got a contrast adjustment, tone adjustment, a bit of film grain and a very slight vignette.
