I was down in Eugene, Oregon on Monday and did some formal portrait photographs for a young man attending the University of Oregon. The session was done on location, he was fun to work with and his photos came out great. Here is one of our favorites from his shoot.

Went out with my riding buddies Gerald and Todd Saturday March 27th; we met for breakfast and some conversation then hit the road. Our ride took us on back roads through Tualatin, Laurelwood, Yamhill, McGuire Reservoir, Newberg, Bald Peak State Park, Gaston, Forest Grove, Vernonia and Scappoose. We had beautiful weather all the way. It was a fun spirited ride of just over 200 miles; here is photo made at one of our stops.

Took a break this afternoon and went out for a ride on my motorcycle. As I was riding past Bald Peak State Park (1,629′ elev.) a beautiful view of Mount Hood caught my eye. I pulled into the park, stopped and removed an old Nikon D70s w/18-200mm, that goes with me on rides, from one of my saddle bags. I shot a few frames with a panoramic image in mind. When I back home I use Photoshop CS4 to stitch this pano together and exported through Zoomify.

I got the opportunity to shoot a few images of the Women’s Club Sport Volleyball Tournament last weekend at The Courts in Beaverton, Oregon. I used my Nikon D300, Tamron 70-200mm f2.8 lens and Sandisk digital film. Post processing was done with Lightroom 2, Photoshop CS4 and Nik Software plug-ins. Images got a contrast adjustment, tone adjustment, a bit of film grain and a very slight vignette.

Inspired by Chase Jarvis’s work with his iPhone and his book “The Best Camera” I pulled out my camera phone while waiting for my wife Rene to get done shopping yesterday. The camera phone is a Blackberry Curve and the post processing was done in Lightroom and Photoshop. Here are a few of the images:
