Reviewing some of our photo shoots I came across the shoot we did for daughter Jenica in her modeling days. Jenica is now a reporter for KTVL in Medford, Oregon. I updated the processing for a new look on a few of the photographs and have posted them here.
We photographed Tisha a hair stylist and model this past weekend. Tisha wanted an on-location poolside lifestyle session. Tisha has experience in front of the camera and was fun to work with and photograph. We will be photographing Tisha again as she continues to update her portfolio. Jamie an actress and model scheduled a returned visit to make some Lifestyle Photographs this past weekend. We photographed Jamie in our studio on a white background for her Lifestyle photo session. Jamie was again great to work she is delightful to photograph. We are looking forward to working with Jamie again as she continues to build her portfolio. We got the opportunity to photograph Jamie an actress and model this past weekend. We chose a Portland industrial area for Jamie’s Glamour Shoot feeling that this would make for an interesting contrast element in her photographs. Jamie was great to work with she really made it easy to capture and make wonderful photographs for her to use in her portfolio. We look forward to working with Jamie again. ViaWest, Inc. held an Open House on May 12, 2011 presenting their newest addition to the Hillsboro location which added over 11,000 square feet of state of the art raised floor. Among the speakers at this event was Hillsboro’s Mayor Jerry Willey who thanked ViaWest along with leaders of the business community present for investing in the Hillsboro community and for the jobs these investments generate. This grand event was planned and implemented by Laura Day of The Event Builders and photography services were provided by J Jacobson Photography. Here are a few photos from the day long event.

We had the honor of photographing a lovely young artist Evashia this past week. Evashia is a Kenyan pop/R&B recording and performing artist on her journey to success. You can visit her website to learn more and to listen to some of her music selections. We photographed her on a white background and ventured out at a local park on a rainy afternoon. Evashia was a great sport braving the cool wet northwest weather, we always enjoy working with Evashia she makes it easy to capture and make wonderful photographs. We look forward to working with her again.

Our daughter Jenica, a reporter for KTVL Channel 10 in Medford, Oregon, and her girlfriend Alicia were home for the holidays. We we got the opportunity to capture a few photographs of her and her girlfriend before they headed out for some New Years Eve fun in downtown Portland. The house was filled with laughs and joy having these two home for a visit.

ViaWest brought J Jacobson Photography to the New Years Event they held for quests and customers hosted at the Rose Garden Arena at the end of December 2010. We captured candid images for them while the Portland Trail Blazers battled the Utah Jazz ending in victor for the Blazers in a 100 to 89 win. While the evening had it’s share of business conversations there was plenty of laughter as very one mingled not to mentions the cheers as the Trail Blazers led most of the game. Thank you ViaWest and all those in attendance for a great evening.

In December Debra and Dave came to J Jacobson Photography with the idea of capturing a taste of the love they have for each other. We had the honor of photographing this lovely couple as they shared some special moments of intimacy. The photographs were made in our Tigard studio where Debra and Dave quickly became comfortable making it easy to capture some very beautiful images.
